Dust of Snow
The way of a crow – shook down on me
The dust of snow – from a hemlock tree
Has given my heart – a change of mood
And saved some part – of a day I had rued. – Robert Frost
In spite of the (dire) storm warnings, the lethal ice that lurking beneath that “snowy mantle”, the closures and cancellations and being held hostage by my impassable driveway, it really is very beautiful out there….. This photo was sensibly taken from the warm side of the glass. Somewhere under that snow drift is my cold-frame, and in that nicely insulated cold-frame kale, carrots and lettuce are growing…..
Nope!! We’re not coming out today! Call again another day….
I think I’ll stay in too, for a little while anyway…
It’s not so bad.
