It’s one of those bucket list things. Dinner on a beach. I’m not talking fish n chips, here (although that can be pretty perfect, too) I’m talking dressing up, fine dining, cocktails, and all with toes in the sand. So when we discovered that our holiday rental had access to this pretty beach – a beach with three (3!!) restaurants … We couldn’t resist. We treated ourselves tonight.
It was just an added bonus to practically have the place to ourselves. This must be a shoulder season, or something.
I opted for fish – red snapper and lobster risotto. How’s this for presentation?
Looks great, but to be honest it wasn’t the best meal I’ve ever had. Or, for that matter, the best meal I’ve had in this island. It was fine – I’m not complaining. But the blackened goat with rice and beans from a food truck was amazing. (Sadly, no picture … Too busy eating).
I guess my tastes lean to simpler things. Like last nights supper. Cheese, bread and avacado with a cold beer. THAT hit the spot after a very hot day spent exploring.
When it comes to venues, however, tonight’s dinner on the beach is difficult to top.

Looks gorgeous, enjoy relaxing in that lovely place..
Thanks!! I’m doing my best 😀
Looks great! The beach is unbeatable
It is a really lovely beach. Not part of an all-inclusive, but it looks like it. Curaçao has a few of these public beaches with tons of amenities. This one just happens to be a 2 minute walk from our little villa. Lucky!!
This sure gets A+ for atmosphere and presentation. 🙂 But, sometimes those simpler meals have been made so many times they have it down to an art which allows you to have an award winning meal. Have fun. 🙂
It seemed to me that the menu was a little bit dated, if you know what I mean. But maybe we are just spoiled. Since Curaçao imports 90% of everything, there maybe limits on how good is prepared. I’m not sure. But I’m going to do more research today 😉😉. And you are absolutely right. Top marks for atmosphere.
Curacao has long been on my list of places to visit, although trips to tropical locations rarely make the travel cut.
It’s true that exceptional ambiance and exceptional food seem to rarely go together except in a few extraordinarily high end restaurants I’ve been to. Like you, I’ve often just blissed out on a simple platter of cheese and bread 🙂
Sounds to me like you and I would be good travel partners. 😀
I suspect we would too!!
I wish I was there.
It looks so special what a gorgeous place 😄
