Okay, that looks like it is not turning which makes my heart almost stop. Hope you are posting from the safety of having two feet on the ground. 🙂

Ha ha ha … it sure is. I have taken shots like that before and thought .. whoops! Amazing that the camera can catch them like this 😀

It is amazing. You’d think it would come out as a blur. I was going for the “birds eye view”, but the propellor makes a better story. “A happy accident”

What a clear shot, well done! We have those little Dash 8s here in Australia, it can be a bumpy ride, but they do a good job..

Thanks!! Yes – a bumpy ride. They are a great little plane. A little noisier, and a tiny bit slower than a jet. The airline has recently switched from jets to these turbo props for this route. There were some muttered complaints. But I found it clean and comfortable.

I didn’t realize any of the airlines were still running the Dash 8’s. But your comment above makes it sound like they’ve gone back to them. Noisy but reliable and much more roomy than the model that I call a flying cigar.

That’s what is happening. Most flights to Newfoundland are on the Dash 8 as well as the Halifax – Ottawa route. The subsequent elimination of business class on that run is causing some grumbles 😉
