Academic Reflection

“There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it” – Edith Wharton

One of the beautiful buildings surrounding Harvard Yard is reflected in a window of the Harvard Memorial Church.  The church stands at one end of the Yard, opposite the Widener Library – to dramatic effect.

Photos were taken in 2014 as I wandered the grounds. I felt smarter just standing there!  And looking at these photos makes me feel it’s time for another visit.

I was there on Friday showing my youngest daughter around. She’s here visiting and it’s her first time in the US …. Your picture and quote are perfectly aligned ☺️

Wow! That’s what I call “an enlightened introduction” to the US!! I bet there was quite a buzzy vibe in and around Harvard on Friday, as the semester begins.

It was perfect …. Beautiful full sunny day and students excited to be back or starting out 🙂

Sounds perfect! We were there in summertime. More tourists than students in the Yard at that time of year. I think it must be marvellous in September. So much promise! You’re just making me wanna go back!! 😉
