Bags packed.
Bland breakfast served after sleepless night.
Long walk from plane to customs completed.
Rewarded by the English countryside in springtime. I wonder where this road will take us……

Tripping the world, slowly

And then I stop and sit and eat.

Not sure if you’re currently traveling or not, although it appears you are. If so, have a marvelous trip. The photos work perfectly for the theme.

Great interpretation. I’m with you in spirit, so where are we headed next? ๐
We are off to London tomorrow…. and hoping for warm temperatures.
Say hello to London for me …. this is a wonderfully appropriate interpretation of the theme. If you have time, by the way, a little known gem in London is the place I used to work ‘Spencer House’ – it was built for the Spencer family and restored by Lord Rothschild with help from English Heritage. It is the only privately owned Palace in London and open on Sunday’s from 10 til 3. Very worth the time. But of course you might not be staying in London so I may be drivelling in vain!!
Actually….we are in London at all he moment. I will look for Spencer House. Thanks for the tip!!! If you think of anything else please send along ๐
Hurrah! First tip is definitely climb ‘The Monument’ …. for all that the London Eye gives great views, The Monument is so much more historic.
Thanks!! Checking that out tomorrow! Spencer House is only open to the public in Sunday’s …. so …. next time. But we did find it and walked by. ๐
I know it is only open on a Sunday (and the garden only once a year) …. keep it in mind, it is lovely. Are you going elsewhere in England too or just staying in London?
It’s a pretty fast visit. We’ve been to Leicester, to see in-laws, finishing up with a opulent of days in London. Wish it were longer.
Well may London delight you as she always has me. If you need other slightly off-beat suggestions do shout but I am certain you will find plenty to amuse. Particularly if you are being opulent!
Hope you have a wonderful holiday .. and some lovely warm weather ๐
Thanks Julie, interestingly, the weather here is very similar to home for this time of year. But the landscape so much greener!!! Which is uplifting.
Have a wonderful vacation!!
