London Doors

We walked ALOT during our recent visit to London. Sooooo much to see. And so little time. But i would argue that the very best way to really see a city is from the street.

And I couldn’t help but collect a few photos of Doors along the way…..

The gates to Kensington Palace.

The Household Cavalry Door.

A pub door.

Doors at Shakesphere’s Globe Theatre

The Door to Spencer House

Near St. James Park.

A Fleet Street Door – and friendly doorman.

And, of course, the doors to Canada House … with Nelson’s Column reflected in the window.

Janet, you captured doors from the sublime to the more or less ordinary. Well done. 🙂

Beautiful door gallery, Janet! Love it.
We were in London last fall. I wish I had taken photos of doors. 🙂

Lovely doors and a reminder of my visit to London years ago when it was 30 degrees C and we were cooking. That inscription cracked me up. Way to go, horses :D.

Oh lucky you! It was wasn’t quite that warm this month. More like 13c. And I wouldn’t have minded if it had been warmer. Counted on it, in fact. Although… now that I think if it, 13c was probably better for walking. We laughed at the sign, too. 😀. A very polite caution.

As I was scrolling along looking at the photos I’m thinking #23 … I definitely like #23 with the faces over the doorway and window.

… then I saw Canada House!! Sorry #23. You’ve been over powered by the spectacular Maple Leaf ❤

Thanks!! No. 23 is very pretty! I couldn’t resist. Imagine living there … such a lovely welcome home.

Oh, your photos are gorgeous. When we visited England several years ago, I’m not sure I captured a door anywhere. You did good. 🙂

That horse was a beauty! For sure! But I especially loved the sign beside the horse. London never fails to impress.
