If there hadn’t been women we’d still be squatting in a cave eating raw meat, because we made civilization in order to impress our girlfriends. Orson Welles

All fall in!

Lined up and ready for dinner!!!

This lot arrived compliments of our generous neighbour… who just happens to be a lobster fisherman. A happy surprise phone call on a Sunday morning!

They were deliciously fresh, of course. But. Still. I can help but wonder just how hungry must the first person to eat a lobster have been ….  (it’s a perennial question for me.). There’s a lot of amour on those “sea bugs”.

I have this thought about so many foods and food combinations but I must say Lobster is the king of conundrums! Fabulous shot as always, Janet and what a brilliant take on the theme!

I do not wonder if the chicken or egg came first. But I wonder who was the first person to discover that you can separate the yolk and the white of a chicken and mixing the only the white it gives you meringue?

Seems as if they are ready for dinner!

Please send your neighbour over to me. I just love generous people like that, especially those who produce such delicious catches from their boat.

He just might take you up on that! He’s a good man. And a fine neighbour.
