We tried to be early enough in the day to beat the crowds. And we almost managed it.
Today we made our way around the Tower of London. And for you … some doors pics!!
From the chapel.
A glance out the window….
And a peak into a very old loo …
And, of course, a greeting from one of the ravens:
Thanks for dropping by!!
Linked with Norm’s Thursday Doors
Love the shot out the leaded glass window to London Bridge…and the Raven! Nice.
Thanks!!! I loved that raven. I’m sure he posed for the photo!
I think I saw a new handle on the door in third photo – but every other piece of hardware seemes period (the little I know of this area and enjoyed the history here)
– and loved reading about the Norman toilet – (and Norm 2.0 shares the name – lol)
Anyhow – the first photo is my top
Door for this post
It seems like there are lots of newish things like displays, presentations, floors and door handles. Well spotted! I guess we can chalk it up to the continuing history of the place.
Yes – and so cool to be able To access all This for a photo shoot
I like all of these, Jean! Great hardware, too, and I do like the shot from the window as well.

Thanks!!! I’ve been wanting to visit this site for many, many years. It was a thrill. But the tricky part of taking photos was to try and avoid other tourists. And to avoid getting in their way too.
Now THAT is a visit/tour I’m sure I’d love doing. The hardware on the first door is amazing!
Great shot of the raven too 🙂
Lovely pictures Janet!
Thanks!! 😊
The tower is such an interesting place to visit. So much history.
Soooooo much history!!! I felt compelled to touch the doors frames and posts. And just consider for a moment how many people down through the years have done the same. And wonder who?
Love your photos of the Tower. I used to go there often as a young girl when it was free. Love the Raven.
That raven!! What a poser! Glad you enjoyed. It certainly wasn’t free yesterday. But I’ve been wanting to go for such a long time.
I’ve seen the Tower of London but didn’t go inside so thank you for the tour. 🙂
I’m so glad, Judy! I’ve been wanting to go inside for YEARS (decades, even). So it was a real treat. My post doesn’t do the place justice. I encourage you to go sometime. The trick (apparently) is to early in the day.
My favorite is the first one. So much character. The Tower of London is very intriguing. Great door photos!
Thank you!! I loved it!
Wonderful doors and a very special view put that window 🙂
Thanks!!! I “hit the brakes” when I came upon that view. I may have caused a (briefly) stopped line of fellow tourists behind me. But! What’s a girl to do? Glad you liked it. I’m gonna sit still soon- and catch up with you. Hope all is going well!!
